A Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG and BMW M6 were put face to face in a glorious drag race. But let's analyze a bit the cars aligned at the grid. The BMW M6 is built on the standard 6-Series Coupe model but it combines corrupting power with a great interior and plenty of technology features.
Under the hood of the BMW M6 is a twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine rated at 560 horsepower. According to BMW, the M6 can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, while the 0 to 200 km/h run is done in 12.6 seconds. Pretty impressive.
On the other side, the Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG is one of the quickest and luxurious grand touring coupes in the world. Under the bonnet it has a twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 engine rated at 530 horsepower or 563 HP when it is equipped with the AMG Performance Package. According to Mercedes, the not to 96 km/h run is done in 4.4 seconds for the standard version and 4.3 seconds for the AMG Performance Package variant.
On paper, the BMW M6 is faster than the Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG. Let's see the video to find out what happened.
