BMW has announced today that it will bring to the 2014 New York Auto Show an updated version of the X5 eDrive Concept. As you may have read, the original prototype was launched in September last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show and now we'll have the chance to see a more refined version of it.
For now, the specifications have remained the same. Under the hood, the BMW X5 eDrive Concept will come with a four cylinder 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo unit rated at 245 horsepower which works together with an electric engine capable of generating 95 horsepower. The hardware allows the concept to offer a combined output of 272 horsepower.
In addition, BMW officials told us that the X5 eDrive can return 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers and has an electric range of 30 kilometers.
